Aim of the course

The aim of the Single Engine Instrument Rating course is to train holders of a pilot licence issued in accordance with Part-FCL.605 IR to exercise the privileges of their licence under IFR.

Pre-entry requirements

Minimum age

The minimum age is 18 years of age.

Educational requirements

No formal academic qualifications are required, however, students will benefit from a having a basic understanding of Maths and Physics

Medical requirements
Trainees must hold valid medical certificate issued in accordance with Part-MED with an extension for IR operations.

General requirements

Before participating the applicant must be demonstrate evidence of all following items:

  • At least valid PPL(A) with Night Rating
  • ATPL(A) Theoretical or SE IR Theoretical Test completion certificate issued by NTAAA.
  • 50 hours or more flight time as pilot in command

Language requirements
A student must demonstrate evidence of English language proficiency equivalent to at least ICAO Level 4.
